Privacy Policy

MiekoArts LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates Midoro, a focus timer application available on iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and authentication credentials. You may also sign in with Google, in which case we receive your name and email from Google.

Focus session data. We store data you generate through the app, including focus session durations, timestamps, focus tags, pomodoro settings, session schedules, and break configurations. This data is stored locally on your device and, if you subscribe to Midoro Premium, synced to our cloud servers.

Statistics and progress. We compute and store aggregated statistics from your focus sessions, including daily, weekly, and monthly summaries, streak data, milestones, and insight cards.

Study room data. If you join a study room, we process your display name, avatar selection, active focus tag, and timer state in real time so that other participants in the room can see them. This data is transient and deleted when you leave the room.

Device information. We generate and store a random device identifier to manage data synchronization across devices. We do not collect hardware identifiers, advertising IDs, or device fingerprints.

Analytics data. We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data such as screen views, feature usage frequency, and session duration. We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports, which may include device model, OS version, and stack traces. This data is not linked to your identity.

Purchase information. Subscription purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and managed through RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment method, credit card number, or billing address. We receive only your subscription status (active, expired, or cancelled) and subscription type.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Midoro app and its features
• To sync your data across devices (Premium subscribers)
• To enable real-time study rooms
• To compute your focus statistics and progress
• To manage your subscription status
• To diagnose crashes and improve app stability
• To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the app

3. Data Storage and Security

Local storage. All focus session data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database. The app is fully functional offline.

Cloud storage. For Premium subscribers, data is synced to Google Cloud Firestore, hosted in the United States. Study room data is stored in Firebase Realtime Database for the duration of an active session. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Data at rest is encrypted by Google Cloud.

Data retention. Free users' local data older than 30 days may be automatically deleted to manage storage. Premium users' data is retained indefinitely. If you delete your account, we delete all associated cloud data within 30 days.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data according to their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Realtime Database, Analytics, Crashlytics) — Firebase Privacy Policy

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes.

5. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and export. You can view all your focus data within the app at any time.
• Deletion. You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings within the app, or by contacting us at support@miekoarts.com.
• Opt out of analytics. You can disable analytics data collection in your device's system settings for the app.
• Offline use. You can use Midoro entirely offline without creating an account. No data leaves your device in this mode.

6. Children's Privacy

Midoro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@miekoarts.com.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app or on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Midoro after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
